A dude who said he was a "Saratoga blogger" called in to talk1300 this morning. The discussion on-air involved the Times Union placing a NXIVM article * on page one over the weekend alongside a city landfill story. This raised the hairs on the back of one speaker's neck. He couldn't fathom why the Times Union would enable reporter James Odato to continue his NXIVM vendetta on the front page while ignoring the most important story of our time, namely, EGYPT.
The Times Union is a very odd newspaper. They warn that reader comments on articles will be scrutinized carefully before they are published, yet they regularly publish "comments" by talk1300 owner Paul Vandenburgh. Er, I should say, someone pretending to be Vandenburgh.
The speaker chuckled upon being told by the blogger that "I get three-thousand hits a day whenever I post about NXIVM."
Although the blogger could provide no proof, I Googled NXIVM + Saratoga and found saratogaindecline.blogspot.com, which must be the blog they were talking about?
I'll take the three-thousand hits, please.
What a great way to launch a new blog!
